Attorney General Jeff Sessions testified in front of the House Judiciary Committee, and most memorable moment was his back-and-forth with Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL).
Rep. Gutierrez is the one who called Chief of Staff John Kelly, a Gold Star father and retired four-star Marine Corps. General, a “disgrace to the uniform.”
Gutierrez tried to make Sessions feel like he was caught, but the Sessions is way smarter than that.
However, the Democrat did create some memorable moments for the press, but sadly, they aren’t favorable to him!
The congressman also made one odd offer to Attorney General Sessions to end both investigations of President Trump and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton:
“Before I begin, I think I have a solution that could allow the committee to move on to other important national matters like gun control and immigration.
“Your side clearly wants an investigation of Hillary Clinton, and our side has been begging for months to hold hearings and start an investigation of the Trump administration and campaign’s improper ties to Mr. Putin and the Russian government. …
“I propose we simply go to the President and the former Secretary of State and ask them both to resign.“
Gutierrez then noted that Hillary Clinton is not the Secretary of State anymore and because of that the investigation should be dismissed.
The district represented by "Luis Gutierrez" is the heart of some of the worst crime in Chicago. It's common knowledge the gangs run Luiz, not the other way around.
LKs, LCs, SDs, MLDs, SCs. Heck The 18th Street, big in CA started in Luiz's district!#SessionsHearing #Sessions pic.twitter.com/QvTZibYYfM

He also claimed that Session was lying under oath when he said he never had contact with Russians.
Sessions quickly made it clear that the denial of the contact with Russian to which Gutierrez was referring was a response to a question by Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) when he testified before the Senate.
Poor Luis. He's afraid that his queen is going down.

Sessions simply denied “participating in a continuing series of meetings with intermediaries for the Russian government,” he never claimed that he never met a Russian in his life.
In the end, Gutierrez didn’t know what to say, so he said nothing.
